After you have started your contract:

  • Contact you regularly until you are fully settled in
  • Contact you on a monthly basis thereafter
  • Provide prompt payment
  • Start searching for your next contract within six weeks of the current contract end date

Candidate Selection Process

We ask all candidates to make themselves aware of the main aspects of our selection process as follows. Please note that if a candidate is unwilling to work with us to complete the entire process, we will regretfully have to stop working with that candidate.

1.Screening process

Once your application has been received we will contact you by phone. During this pre-screening it will be determined if you meet the general technical requirements required.

2. Formal interview

If both the candidate and Broadhorizon wish to proceed, we will conduct a more through interview which may include a formal skills assessment, depending on our client instructions. The purpose of this meeting is to delve deeply into the candidate’s work history, salary requirements, the depth of technical skills and availability. We need to obtain a clear picture of your skills and abilities and your aspirations and ideals.

3. Reference checks

If both applicant and Broadhorizon are satisfied with the outcome of the process so far and both agree to proceed with the application, Broadhorizon will take up reference checks by email or phone. For contractors, this will usually have to cover the last 3 years including the current position. For permanent applicants, we will not contact the present employer but reference checks will be requested from all past employers covering the last 5 years.

4. Candidate presentation

Once steps 1 to 3 above have been completed successfully, we will introduce the most suitable three applicants to the client for consideration. We will then arrange all phone interviews and face-to-face meetings.

Some Clients may require additional checks and vetting procedures. You will be advised of these before your CV is put forward to any such client and we will ask you to help us to provide the client with all such additional information.

Introduction Fee

We are continuing to build our business through introductions and we recognise the huge value of marketing by word of mouth. Our success so far, in attracting the highest achievers and in developing new business proves that our approach works well for us.

We operate two introduction fee schemes within our business, one for introduction of applicants for specific roles and the other for introduction of clients. Please contact us for further details.

Please note that fees will be agreed in advance of any introduction being made. All fees are paid at Broadhorizon’s discretion and without liability or recourse. All recipients undertake to account to the relevant authorities for the purposes of Taxation, NI and/or any other relevant statutory deductions and/or payments and will discharge all such liabilities from the fees received.
